Gone are the days of answering to the constant "are you okay?" queries from others. The experience of being late diagnosed and being met with denial and gaslighting when telling others about autism is all too common. It is time that the stigma surrounding autism comes to an end. Autism is a good thing, autistic people see the world differently. Colours are brighter, sounds are louder, emotions are more intense for a lot of us. Being a different neurotype is not something that should be punished or hidden, it's something that should be celebrated.
